Jonathan Simpson

Managing Partner

Our Founder and Managing Partner is Jonathan Simpson, a global leading lawyer who advises on Project Development and Project Finance transactions, Structured Finance and Arbitration matters.

Mr. Simpson has over thirty years of experience both in practice and in house. Experience focused predominantly on emerging markets with experience centred on Emerging Europe, Africa, Asia, Middle East and South America and has closed in excess of US$50 billion worth of project transactions.

Mr. Simpson has extensive sectoral experience in Power & Renewables, Oil & Gas, Mining & Resources, Petrochemicals, Telecommunications, Transport Infrastructure and Real Estate.

Mr. Simpson has extensive management experience and also combines extensive legal experience with a commercially practical and pragmatic approach.

In launching Murrayfield Law, Mr. Simpson said:

"More than any time in recent history our destiny is often not of our own choosing. I founded Murrayfield Law fortified by those words and with a steadfast conviction that this is the right course for practice.
